The team has been training hard and are looking forward to this tournament to showcase their skillset and determination. Head coach Bibiano Fernandes said that the players have shown immense progress over the past few months of training and that they are capable of competing with the best teams in Asia.

India have been drawn up against some strong opposition in the group stages, including Uzbekistan, whom they face off against in their first match. However, Fernandes is confident in his side’s ability to make a deep run into the tournament and believes they can challenge for a spot in the knockout stages.

The team will be looking to draw on the strength of their attacking prowess as well as their rock-solid defence, with Thingujam leading from the front.
