Bristol City to Make Move for QPR Defender Rob Dickie this Summer

Bristol City are looking to bolster their defensive options this summer with a move for Queens Park Rangers defender Rob Dickie.

The 27-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at QPR, and sources have told Football Insider that Bristol City are keen on luring him to Ashton Gate ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Bristol City finished 14th in the Championship last season, and manager Nigel Pearson is keen to improve his backline this summer. Dickie would be a valuable addition to the Robins’ defence, having clocked up over 90 appearances for QPR since joining from Oxford United in 2018.

The defender has received praise from pundits for his defensive positioning and passing ability, while he is also known for his physical strength which would make him a valuable asset to the Robins’

backline.

Bristol City have already bolstered their attacking options this summer with signings of Tyreeq Bakinson from Bristol Rovers and Antoine Semenyo from Newport County.

Dickie could be the final piece of the jigsaw in Bristol City’s squad, as Pearson looks to build a squad capable of competing for promotion next season.

The Robins will hope that their offer is enough to tempt Dickie away from QPR, with the defender having been with the London-based club for over three years.
