Jaydev Unadkat is set to play in WTC final 2023.
As World Test Championship final is around the corner and set to be happen on June 7, 2023 to 11 June at Oval, England, players of the both teams (India and Australia) have started training in England pitches in fact some players are already playing in county championship to assess the conditions of the England pitches. Australian players such as Steve Smith is playing for Sussex in county championship whereas Marnus Labuschagne is playing quite well over there, India batter Cheteshwar Pujara also playing there and so far he is the second highest run scorer in county division two of the championship.
India is at a disadvantage as of now as some players who regularly appeared for test matches are either injured or recovering from the injury KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant are in that list Jaydev Unadkat was in that list and there were speculations that he would be missing the WTC final but due to god’s grace he is back on track and fit to play for team India in the final, being the only selected left arm pacer from the Indian side has left for England. The left -arm pacer got injured during the net session while practicing he fell on his shoulder.
Jaydev Unadkat had a great domestic season and was the part of the test and T20 squad against Australia but for the whole series he was on the bench and didn’t play any match this time as well India has selected him but his name in the playing XI seemed to be doubtful as senior pacers like Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav are in the selected list, but the final playing XI is still to be decided. Hope Jaydev Unadkat play the finals of the WTC and take some crucial wickets for India to seal the victory this time.
