PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy, and Kidambi Srikanth win the Round of 16 to enter in Quater Finals of Malaysia Masters
Indian three badminton stars PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy, and Kidambi Srikanth are into the Quater Finals of the Malaysia Masters Open badminton competition.
PV Sindhu wins the round of 16 against A. Ohori to enter in Malaysia Masters Quater Finals. After being recently defeated in the Sudirman Cup, PV Sindhu is again back in action and winning ways. She started the Malaysia Masters round of 32 with a tough win against Line Christophersen by 21-13, 17-21, 21-18.
PV Sindhu then played against A. Ohori in the round of 16 and won the match in a straight set by 21-16, 21-11. The match went on for 40 minutes, and Sindhu dominated the match quite well. Her next match is against the Chinese player Zhang Yiman, ranked 17 worldwide.
The world number 9. HS Prannoy defeated the Chinese star badminton player Li Shi Feng in the round of 16 by 13-21, 21-16, 21-11 to enter the quarter-final of the Malaysia Masters. He will play against Japanese player K. Nishimoto who is ranked 14 in the world men’s singles tennis ranking.
The former ranked 1 badminton player Srikanth Kidambi won against the Thailand young talent Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the round of 16 in a straight set by 21-19, 21-19. He was the third player of India who entered the Quater Finals of the Malaysia Open. His next match is against C. Adinata, ranked 56 right now in the world.
Indian team needs to give a strong performance in every category because, in the last 1 year, they had a very bad performance and will likely improve it in the Malaysia Open after reaching the quarter-finals, and even their next opponent is not world-class.
