Craig Bryson at the Heart of Aberdeen’s Push for European Spot
Aberdeen have enjoyed an impressive season and the contributions of midfielder Craig Bryson cannot be overlooked. Having signed for Barry Robson’s side back in January, he has made 12 appearances and captained the Scottish club as they look to secure a European spot come the end of this season.
The Dons currently sit third in the Scottish Premiership table with just two games to go, two points ahead of fourth-placed Hearts who are also pushing for a European spot. Bryson has been an influential part of Aberdeen’s success this season and has expressed his delight at being part of the team: “It’s such a great feeling to be playing here at Aberdeen. The team have been fantastic this season and I’m just happy to be able to contribute.”
The 33-year-old has also discussed the importance of their last two league fixtures, both against St Johnstone: “It’s important that we finish the season strongly. We need to make sure we win these two games and ensure that we finish in the top three.”
Bryson has been widely praised for his performances this season and Aberdeen manager Robson has nothing but praise for the midfielder: “Craig has been fantastic since he joined us. He’s a real leader on the pitch and his experience is invaluable to our team.”
With two games left in the season, Bryson and Aberdeen will be hoping to capitalise on their strong start to secure a European spot come May.
The next two weeks will be a defining period for the Dons and Bryson will undoubtedly have a key role to play. With the midfielder at the heart of their success this season, Aberdeen fans are hopeful that his presence on the pitch can help them secure European football in 2021/22.
Having become an integral part of Aberdeen’s set up, Craig Bryson will be looking to go out with a bang and help Barry Robson’s side achieve European qualification.
