The last match played on this ground was between Gujarat Titans vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, which was a high-scoring match. Spinners not got any wickets even when there were two world-class spinners like Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad.
The ground is still heavily batting-friendly, but since four matches have already been played there, there may be some opportunity for spinners in the next game because it will become dryer as more games are played. Team Preview of Gujarat Titans
Gujarat Titans need to perform better as a team because the last three matches which they won were all about Shubman Gill and Mohit Sharma’s performance, but other players did not perform well, which was clearly seen in the last match against the Chennai Super Kings in which they lost by 15 runs.
Gujarat Titans will need to be at their best against the Mumbai Indians, who have been in superb form since the last stage of the IPL 2023, and almost every player on their team is performing quite well. Hardik Pandya was not happy with the batting of his team and the basic error they made in the match, which needed to be corrected.
I think we were quite spot-on (with the ball), but we made basic errors and that costed us the game. The kind of bowlers we had, I felt we conceded 15 extra runs. A lot of things we did right. We bowled a couple of soft balls in between. We were executing our plans and then in between we gave some runs.

The one positive that Gujarat will surely have is playing in the home ground against the Mumbai Indians, and the pitch of Narendra Modi Stadium is quite a high-scoring ground that does not offer much turn for the spinners. Gujarat team won 4 out of 8 matches on their home ground, and the last match they played against Mumbai Indians on the home ground went their way as they won the match easily by 55 runs.

1- Shubman Gill has the highest run from the Gujarat side against the Mumbai Indians as he scored 114 runs in 3 matches, but in the last match, he scored only 6 runs against them. Gill needs only 9 runs to get his hands on the orange cup in the IPL 2023, as right now, he has scored 722 runs in 15 matches. He played 10 matches against Mumbai Indains overall in IPL and scored 280 runs with an average of 28.
2- Rashid Khan has a great record against Mumbai Indians in IPL. He scored 102 runs in 13 matches and took 18 wickets against the Mumbai Indians. Rashid has scored 125 runs in 15 matches of IPL 2023 and took 25 wickets which clearly makes him a huge threat for the Mumbai Indians, but there is one huddle that Rashid needs to overcome the pitch of Ahmedabad, which is not been a spin-friendly track.
3- Mohit Sharma can be a game-changing player for the Gujarat Titans and has a good record against the Mumbai Indians. He picked up 26 wickets in 17 matches he played against Mumbai, and recently his form has been amazing in the last few matches. He grabbed 19 wickets in 12 matches, and two times, he picked four wickets in a match.
If Gujarat Titans want to win the next match against the Mumbai side, then Hardik and the team need to contribute more to the team because no team ever won any tournament just because of 1-2 players.

Mumbai Indians had the most dramatic season in the IPL, and the way they reached qualifier 2 is another amazing feat by the most successful team of the IPL. The next match will be tough for them as they will face the defending champion Gujarat Titans, who have already played against them twice, but this time, it will be tough for them because the match will be played in Gujarat’s home ground.
Mumbai Indian’s young players rise to the occasion from time to time for the team, which is the best thing for the team and for their future also going to be quite bright in the future if the players keep performing like that.
The bowling unit needs to work together because, in the last 3-4 matches, only Akash Madhwal is the one who is performing well for the team, but Jason Behrendorff and Piyush Chawla need to support him.

1- Cameron Green can be a crucial player for the Mumbai Indians against the Gujarat Titans on the Ahmedabad pitch because it is batting-friendly, and Green loves to play on the pacey track.
