Ishant Sharma revealed the advice given by Jasprit Bumrah on Knuckle ball

Indian pacer Ishant Sharma, who is currently playing for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2023, has recently revealed the advice given by Jasprit Bumrah on the knuckle ball technique that he used in this IPL 2023 very efficiently and dismissed some batters of the opponent teams to win the match for his team. The talented Indian pacer has so far featured in eight matches for Delhi Capitals in which he took 10 wickets with an economy of 8.24. The pacer has variations in his bowling attack, and the much-talked-about variation of him this year is the way he bowls the “knuckle ball”.

Being an honest person, he revealed the source from which he got the advice to develop the knuckle ball and worked on that aspect of his bowling for a long time to get the results he is getting now. Speaking on DC Podcast season 3, he revealed that Jasprit Bumrah advised him to work on the slow bowling tricks in 2018 when they were in Melbourne. Ishant Sharma said that:

“I asked Jasprit Bumrah what he thought about my bowling in T20s during the Melbourne Test in 2018. He told me that I have a brilliant length, but I need to develop a slow seam delivery, which would deceive a batter. So thereafter, I worked on delivering the knuckleball,”

Delhi Capitals are officially out of the playoff race for the IPL 2023 as they only managed to win 5 matches this season, and there is nothing to lose for them in their final match, but they can turn the table upside down if they manage to win their last match against the Chennai Super Kings. Ishant Sharma wasn’t picked up in the IPL 2022, but he didn’t lose hope and worked hard on his bowling skills, and this year he was purchased by the Delhi Capitals for 50 lakhs.
