Chris Jurasek Appointed as New Chief Executive of Chelsea Football Club
Chelsea Football Club has announced the appointment of Chris Jurasek as their new Chief Executive. The news comes after the club agreed on terms with Clearlake Capital, a US private equity firm which co-owns Chelsea alongside Boehly’s consortium.
Jurasek is set to take up his role ahead of this summer’s transfer window, with Tom Glick, who was appointed President of Business at Chelsea in July 2022, now reporting directly to Jurasek.
The news comes off the back of a successful period for Chelsea Football Club under Frank Lampard, as they achieved a Champions League finish and had their best points total in the Premier League since 2016/17.
Jurasek has a wealth of experience, having worked in global operations for Clearlake Capital since 2020. His knowledge and ability to drive operational excellence will be an asset to Chelsea as they continue their mission of becoming one of the top clubs in world football.
The club’s owner Bruce Buck said: “Chris comes to Chelsea with an impressive track record of success and a clear understanding of what it takes to be successful in the modern era. We are thrilled to have him on board, and we’re looking forward to working together to continually develop our football club.”
Jurasek said: “I’m delighted to be joining one of the world’s most successful football clubs. I’m looking forward to working with the team at Chelsea to continue our mission of becoming one of the top clubs in world football.”
It is clear that Jurasek’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Chelsea, and fans have good reason to be optimistic about the future.
