Mohammed Shami witty reply to Ravi Shastri

Mohammed Shami, while playing against Sunrisers Hyderabad, took 4 wickets in his 4 over spell and played a major role in his team’s success. He has been consistent the whole season and has taken wickets whenever needed, especially in the powerplay, where he is most consistent in taking wickets. The right-arm pacer has taken 23 wickets so far in 12 matches, and as of now he is holding the purple cap for taking the maximum number of wickets.

Mohammed Shami, during the post-match presentation, gave the wittiest reply to the host, Ravi Shastri, when he was asked about his performance secret. Ravi Shastri asked, “What is he taking in his diet to put such an amazing performance in every match?” to which Mohammed Shami gave the wittiest punch by taking the question in a light manner, he replied that “He wouldn’t get the food he wants to eat, here in Gujarat.” To avoid any misinterpretation of his statement and to not hurt the sentiments of the people, he completed his statement by saying that “though he is enjoying the Gujarati cuisine,”

Shami replied “Gujarat mein huu, mera khana nahi milega na. Lekin Gujrati food enjoy kar raha huu.”
