RCB’s bowlers and batters both performed well during the match and secured a crucial win at their opponents home ground as the league stage is coming to an end and playoffs are around the corner. RCB’s massive victory has increased their chances of going into the playoffs.

RR vs RCB highlights IPL 2023: RCB, after winning the toss, chose to bat first, and the opening duo of RCB came to bat. Captain Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli started RCB’s innings. Both gave a steady start to the innings. Slowly, the runs started increasing, and both managed to put 50 runs on the board. But in the 7th over’s last ball, Virat Kohli, while trying to score some more boundaries, charged down the crease, but only managed to loft the ball to be caught by Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Glenn Maxwell entered the crease and formed the most successful duo for the RCB. Maxwell and Faf started playing their game, and the duo took RCB to 119 runs, but Faf Du Plessis’ contribution to the partnership ended there as KM Asif took his wicket in the 15th over. Faf scored 55 runs in 43 balls and now has the maximum runs in this IPL season. Batters afterwards, like Mahipal Lomror and Dinesh Karthik, were dismissed for a single-digit score in the same over by Adam Zampa. Maxwell continued like he always did in his aggressive style and completed his fifty, but Sandeep Sharma dismissed him while he was trying to play a switch hit.
Anuj Rawat finished RCB’s innings well, as the left-hander’ managed to take his team to a fighting total of 171 runs; he scored 29 runs in 11 balls.

RR vs RCB highlights IPL 2023: While chasing a target of 172 runs, Rajasthan Royals started their innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal (left-handed) and Jos Buttler (right-handed), and the home crowd was expecting some magical innings from Yashasvi this time as well, but little did they know that their dreams of seeing their team win the match weren’t going to become a reality, above all; they were going to see some of the worst performances of their team.
Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed in the first over by Mohammad Siraj. Yashasvi, while trying to be aggressive, lofted the ball to mid-off, and Virat Kohli took an easy catch. Jaiswal was dismissed on a duck, followed by his opening partner Jos Buttler in the next over of Wayne Parnell. RR needs to work on their weak areas to qualify for the playoffs, and RCB needs to strengthen their batting order more, as the team has been so far dependent on the top-order batters.

“Really good for our NRR. Tough pitch. We batted first and assessed the conditions. We batted in the powerplay and thought 160 will be a good score. We have had a good set up till the 15th over. But we managed to capitalize on the momentum shift at the end.”
