KKR vs RR highlights IPL 2023: Rajasthan Royals, after winning the toss, decided to bowl first as captain Sanju Samson wanted to chase a target this time. KKR opened with their usual batting line-up. Jason Roy and Rahmanullah Gurbaz opened the inning for KKR. Jason Roy scored a boundary in the first over, but in Trent Boult’s second over, while trying to loaf the ball out of the park, Shimron Hetmyer, displaying his athleticism, charged towards the ball, jumped, and caught it inside the boundary rope. For his terrific catch, he also got the Herbalife active catch of the match award.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz started accelerating the pace and hit Sandeep Sharma for two sixes, but his run affair got ended soon by Trent Boult. KKR’s captain Nitish Rana and Venkatesh Iyer started rotating the strikes, and the struggle of KKR for a boundary ended in the 9th over. There were no boundaries hit by KKR for 29 deliveries until this over, but later both started charging towards the bowlers and hit some great shots until Yuzvendra Chahal came for his spell and dismissed Nitish Rana in his first over. This was Yuzi’s 184th wicket in the IPL.
Venkatesh Iyer was now joined by Andre Russell, and Russell tried to continue the work he is best at, but his brief innings ended soon as he managed to make only 10 runs. Iyer completed his fifty but got out soon, and the wonder boy Rinku Singh couldn’t play the innings his team needed, and KKR managed to put 149 runs on the board.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler came to the crease, and opponents captain Nitish Rana opened the bowling attack for KKR, but little did he know that Yashasvi Jaiswal came with a different mindset. On the first pitch of the inning, Yashasvi jumped down the crease and hit the ball out of the park. The second ball had the same result. Yashasvi hit Nitish Rana for 26 runs in the first over, which is also the highest ever run scored in the first over of an inning. He didn’t stop there and continued on his way.
Jos Buttler, on the other hand, tried settling, but while trying to take a quick single, they got caught in a mix-up, and Andre Russell took the opportunity and hit the bull’s eye. Jos Buttler later got penalized for his dissent on the run-out; he was fined 10% of his match fees. But there was no stoppage to Yashasvi’s devastating batting performance, and he scored the fastest fifty in the history of the IPL; he reached the milestone in just 13 balls. Sanju Samson joined Yashasvi, and the duo hammered the KKR bowlers like they were playing on a totally different pitch. Sanju Samson end up scoring 48 runs and Jaiswal scored 98 runs.

KKR vs RR highlights IPL 2023: In another record-breaking performance by the magician Yuzvendra Chahal in the IPL, he broke Dwayne Bravo’s record of the highest wicket taker, taking 183 wickets in his IPL career. Yuzvendra Chahal, being a spinner, broke the record of 183 wickets by dismissing Nitish Rana. He also bagged four wickets in the match, taking his total wickets to 187. He is currently the purple cap holder with 21 wickets this season, followed by Mohammed Shami, Tushar Deshpande, and Rashid Khan with 19 wickets.

He was batting well right through the tournament, so I thought a part-time spinner could perhaps make him complacent, that was the plan, but he played superbly and those things do happen.

“This is always in my mind, to go out there and play well. It was a nice feeling today. It is not like everything I wanted happens, I prepare well and I trust in myself. I know the results will come. “The winning shot was a great feeling, I wanted to finish the game and winning the game has been my motto. I’m blessed and grateful, I’m trying my best. I think the RR was the only thing in our mind, me and Sanju were only talking about finishing the game quickly.
