What did Shubhman Gill say about his missed Century chance?

Shubhman Gill, one of the gems and a young right-hand sensation of the Indian cricket team missed his maiden IPL century by just 6 runs, though he remained not out in the match. The right-handed opener of the Gujarat Titans scored 94 runs in just 51 balls in his innings.

Shubhman Gill played a vital role in putting a mammoth score on the board, as Gujarat Titans managed to put 227 runs on the scoreboard, which Lucknow Super Giants failed to achieve; they only managed to make 171 runs and lost by 56 runs. During the post-match presentation, Shubhman Gill, after missing his maiden IPL century, said that he would get one in his team’s next matches as there are a few more matches left with them. Gujarat Titans, with the end of the 51st match of the IPL 2023 still soaring high on the table, if the opening pairs and their bowlers perform like this in the upcoming matches, then they will definitely qualify for the playoffs.

Shubhman Gill also praised wicketkeeper batter Wriddhiman Saha for his knock as they opened the Gujarat Titans innings together and had a partnership of 142 runs before Avesh Khan took the wicket of Wriddhiman Saha. He was glad to share the pitch with an experienced batter. Shubhman Gill managed to hit 7 sixes and 2 fours in his innings and also said that he didn’t hit some maximums in the last few matches but capitalized on the rhythm this time and hit a few of them.

“They were going well in the powerplay but our bowlers bowled well especially Mohit bhai. They restrict their batting lineup to under 180 which was a great effort.
