The two destructive right-handed batters entered the crease, and Jason Roy started dealing in boundaries. In the very first over of their innings, he hit Bhubaneswar Kumar for two boundaries, but Rahmanullah Gurbaz failed to do so and in the next over, while trying to hit the ball out of the park, he got caught and returned to the pavilion without scoring runs. Venkatesh Iyer walked to the crease to make some runs, but Marco Jansen dismissed him in the same over as he got caught behind while trying to play the pull shot. Jason Roy tried to continue his innings, but Kartik Tyagi ended his innings early. Jason Roy only managed to score 20 runs in 19 balls.
Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh, well, these were the players that would take the KKR innings to a defendable score. He took the wicket of Abdul Samad, who is considered one of the power hitters in SRH’s team.

“My heartbeat was touching 200 in the last over, but I wanted them to make hit to the longer part of the ground. The ball was slipping a lot and my best bet was longer side and that was my only hope. My first over I went for 12 runs, Markram hit me for 2 fours and that’s how the game goes. Last year I was bowling around 85kmph, I was trying out many things and I realized that I needed to work on my revolutions and I did work on it.”
