KL Rahul is out of the IPL season 2023
The Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul got an injury in the match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore when he was trying to save a boundary but pulled up a hamstring which made him walk out of the match. The injury is around the tendon of his right hip.
KL Rahul later came to bat at the number 11 spot to save his team from getting defeated by a huge margin, but when he came back Naveen-ul-Haq got out, and he was not able to contribute anything to the team.
The Injury was quite serious, as he was not able to walk, but still, he won the heart of the fans when he came to bat so he could improve the team’s Net Run Rate because, at that time, it was impossible to win the match and Net Run Rate will be going to be an important factor for the Lucknow Super Giants in the qualifying stage of the playoffs.
“KL is currently with the team in Lucknow but he is leaving the camp on Thursday after watching the game against CSK on Wednesday. His scans will be done in Mumbai at the BCCI designated medical facility. His case as well as Jaydev’s case will be handled by BCCI,”
BCCI offical said to a News Agency PTI.
KL Rahul might miss the WTC Final
Indian Cricket Team is already on the back foot in the WTC Final match against the Australia Cricket Team, which is going to be on June 7th, 2023, at Oval, London, England. Another blow for the Indian Cricket Team as KL Rahul is likely to be not unavailable for the WTC final against Australia. Before him, a few other players also got injured, which made the Indian Cricket team weaker.
Rishabh Pant was the first to rule out because of his car accident on December 30th, 2022. After that, Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, and Jaydev Unadkat were out of the WTC final. It is going to be tough to replace players in a short span of time.
